Lyrically, we wanted to convey the confusion in people’s belief systems in a modern age where we receive news (or what we perceive as news) in such a variety of forms. Our consumerism of daily events on screens can be all encompassing and can often detract from our personal relationships and real lives. We often interpret the news we read in such a variety of ways depending on how we feel on any given day that it’s hard to process what’s really going on. We wanted to try and portray how confusing our headspace and personal opinions can be throughout this process.”
